Free Dead Animal Removal Atlanta, Georgia

Dead Animal Removal

The city of Atlanta provides free dead animal removal services for carcasses found on public land or in roadways. Examples include roadkill like deer or deceased raccoons in county parks. To access these services, contact Fulton Deceased Animal Services at 404-546-0311.

In addition to city and county animal control services, other government agencies may offer complimentary dead animal removal under names like public works departments, departments of transportation, environmental services, division of street maintenance, or sanitation departments. Avoid contacting the Atlanta police department, Atlanta SPCA, or humane society for this service. For removing dead pet bodies in Atlanta, click here.

Usually, small animal carcasses under 20 lbs can be disposed of in refuse containers, though this may not always be acceptable. For larger animals, contact the sanitation department or the number provided above. Private enterprises typically handle the removal of large livestock animals such as dead horses or cows. When dead animals are on private property, citizens or private companies like ours (listed below) handle their removal.

For free government dead animal removal services, call 404-546-0311.
